ALL USERS OF OUR RANGE MUST READ THESE RULES
1. Safety is EVERYONE'S responsibility. Our number one concern is to run a safe range at all times, as approved by the Province of New Brunswick.
2. All members who own firearms must be in possession of a valid firearms license except Flintlock, Matchlock and Wheel Lock owners. Restricted or prohibited firearms used on our Range must be registered as required by the Law and have proof of registration.
3. If a loaded firearm is brought to the range, you must notify the Range Officer immediately upon arrival. His/her decision on appropriate action shall be final.
4. Modern Firearms with smokeless powder cannot be used during monthly shoots, but may be used by Club Members for
sighting in purposes or in special competition.
5. Persons are permitted to use open iron sights and peep sights but no slings or other supporting harness in competition. Black Powder Cartridge Rifles may have any metallic sight.
6. When more than one person is using the Range, one person must act as Range Officer and supervise the firing line. All spectators must remain behind the safety rope.
7. Capping or priming of firearms is only to be done at the firing line, which is designated to be the front supporting posts of the Range Roof and not at the loading benches.
8. Muzzles must always be pointed in a safe direction at all times; i.e. muzzle down range when at the firing line and muzzle up at all other times.
9. No firearm is to be loaded until the "Commence Firing" command is given. The "Commence Firing" command will be given in this manner:
"Is the line ready?"...........................Response-"The line is ready."
"Ready on the right?".......................Response-"Ready on the right."
"Ready on the left?"..........................Response-"Ready on the left."
"Ready on the firing point?"............Response-"Ready on the firing point."
"Commence Firing."
10. Fingers must be kept out of the trigger and trigger guard area until the shooter is in position to fire.
11. Relays are to be 20 minutes.
12. When the command "Cease Fire" is given by the Range Officer, all firing stops at once. Then Range Officer asks "Are there any live loads?" If so, a "Clear Firearms" command will be given. The "Cease Fire" command will be given again. At this time anyone not shooting the next relay will remove their firearm from the line. Anyone should call a "Cease Fire" if/when a dangerous situation occurs.
13. During the command "Remove your targets", firearms are not to be handled or moved to or from the loading benches.
14. Shooters may leave the firing line with their firearm prior to the cease fire command if they have both completed their relay and have notified the Range Officer.
15. No consumption of alcoholic beverages by competitors while shooting. No smoking at or near loading benches.
16. One target, one firearm, per person, per relay. No sharing firearms. Your loading bench position shall correspond with your target position. No cross shooting. At the firing line Shooter must stand directly in front of target being shot.
17. Never load your firearm from a flask or horn. Keep flasks and horns closed when not in use. Use a proper measure. Never lean over your muzzle at anytime. No blowing down the muzzle of firearms.

19. Loaded firearms with problems: i.e. dry load, must be laid on a bench at the firing point, aiming down range, before working on it. Do not bring the firearm back to the loading bench to work on it. Treat a misfire as though the firearm can fire at any second. Wait at least one minute with the firearm pointing down range before taking to a shooting bench on the firing line.
20. Shooters not possessing a firearms license are to be supervised at arms length by a licensed adult while shooting; i.e. children and new shooters.
